For Kranky’s 20th anniversary they're hosting four shows in Chicago from December 12-15 and the 1st one is at Empty Bottle with Disappears, along with Lichens, and Implodes this Thursday Dec 12th. If you are not familiar with Disappears, they exploded on the Chicago scene back in 2008. They were so good in fact, they caught the attention of drummer Steve Shelley from Sonic Youth, who toured with them in 2011 following the release of their album “Guider”. They have a new record out titled “Era”, and will be playing this show in support of that record. They are known for their lives shows, and I’m sure will be melting faces Thursday night. It would be a pity if you could not make it and all your friends told you about how their faces got melted Thursday and it was totally wicked.
