Chicago, I love you...and Do312's "FREE WEEK" is a 10-day (October 10th-20th), entirely free festival celebrating hundreds of Chicago artists; in music, comedy, art, photography, film, and literature spread across various venues through-out the Chicagoland area.

NATIONAL ENDOWMENT OF THE BRENTS BY FRIENDS OF BRENT PULSE FUND-HELPER

Rare and unreleased tracks by musicians with strong ties to Chicago are included on a downloadable Bandcamp mix to help a friend I have not seen in a couple of years but have known for a few years.  LA-based musician Brent Puls with medical bills stemming from a condition that he has had since childhood got seriously out of whack and it almost killed him. He's doing okay now, but that's only after a lot of $urgery.

The artists and bands include Joe Pug, Birdy on the Moon (featuring Wilco's Pat Sansone), JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound, Tom Schrader, Clip Art, Rachael Yamagata and many more.

CHICAGO MIXTAPE CURATES ULTRA VIOLET PETTING ZOO FESTIVAL

It's going down this Sunday (July 10th) at 2pm at 3900 Rockwell St in Paul Revere Park (basically between Western Ave and California Ave on Irving Park Ave.)

It only costs a $5 suggested donation!

Bands Include: White Mystery, Bobby Conn and Monica Boubou, Baby Teeth,Tom Schraeder and his Ego, Bailiff, The Record Low, Jonny Rumble and We Repel Each Other.

Attractions include: 23 Carnival Rides (biggest carnival in Chicago), A Real Petting Zoo, A Pie Eating Contest, more!!

All proceeds go to benefit the Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club which provides after school programs (like T-Ball!!) to over 1,500 children, this is their main
fundraiser.
